Medical Exam and a surprise

We started yesterday out around 9:15am and headed to get the kids visa pictures taken. RunYi's is adorable--the photographer got her to smile. Then we headed for the medical clinic for the visa medical exam. Same place we took Graycen over 3 years ago, and even the same doctor. Kevin had to get weighed and then they weighed he and RunYi together to get her weight since she can't stand alone. When we saw the doctor, he seemed concerned about RunYi, so I told our guide, Helen to tell them we knew what we were going to be dealing with because we had another daughter with CP. He then asked if Graycen had been seen at that clinic, and I told him yes. They were very concerned that they did not catch her condition. They asked for her Chinese name, dob, etc. and were going to go back through their files to see if anything was noted in her file. I told them it was okay, we were happy with our daughter.

Then we got another surprise when a large group of families entered the medical clinic. It was the group from Bethany Christian Services, with their guide, Shiyan. She was also our guide for our trip to Graycen, and she is wonderful. We were able to remind her of our family and she surprisingly remembered small details about us like Kevin being in the Army and a police officer. Kim: I also told her of your pending referral, and that she would hopefully be seeing you again soon. :)

Gavin stayed at the hotel, because he is contagious right now. He ran a little fever yesterday, but this morning the fever is gone, but more pox have shown up. He has a lot on his face, which is very upsetting to him. I just hope they are dried up or they can pass as pimples for our trip home. Trying not to worry, but it is kind of concerning they may try to delay our trip home.

RunYi got 4 shots. Baba held her for them and she cried silent tears--so sad. She has not been too fussy, which is a blessing. This morning she felt a little warm, but I didn't take her temp. It was raining yesterday, and is supposed to rain today too. We did a little shopping and browsing around the island. Today we skipped the shopping tour with our group because Gavin can't be around them. We will do some walking around the island again today. We were going to go to the Church on the island, but didn't think they would want exposed to chicken pox.
